GET SERIOUS! GET TO WORK!
Democrats and Republicans in Congress are motivated to excite their partisans and reward their patrons. They have less motivation to work seriously on our crises.
These perverse incentives have brought us closer to fiscal disaster – something no longer in the distant future. They have allowed the humanitarian disgrace that has become our border and immigration system to metastasize. By these and other failures, they will leave our children and grandchildren wondering what we did to our country.
With the No Labels Caucus and Democrats and Republicans of goodwill, I will bring proposals that will force Congress to address these – and other – problems.
Our 47th District will hold one of the most consequential – and most examined – Congressional elections in 2024. You can make this a ho-hum election between Republicans and Democrats who, by design, have no motivation to change Congress. Or, you can place a strong, moderate, Independent on the November ballot whose proposals will make Congress serious!
